The Springfield Division of IPWB invites you to take part in the 2010 Wine Tour!
Bus transportation will be provided for the group from Springfield as we head to Ridge View Winery in Mt. Sterling and Hill Prairie Winery in Oakford. Enjoy the dinner theater at Hill Prairie and group bus transportation back to Springfield.
$5 of each ticket sold will be donated to Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure!
Cost is $105 for the full tour, including lunch, dinner and transporatation. If you are not able to be part of the bus tour but would like to join the group at Hill Prairie, your cost for dinner and the show is just $60!

First Round of Local Division Meetings in February!
It's time to get the local divison meetings underway this month ... learn more about what is coming to your area, and the other divisions! Start 2010 off right by getting active in IPWB and attending our events!
Quarterly meetings will be held in each local division of IPWB (Bloomington-Normal, Peoria & Springfield) to give members easy access to our networking and educational offerings!
All IPWB members and guests are welcome at each meeting; however we do understand that it is most likely you will only be able to attend those meetings that are closest and require less time for travel.
The Peoria Division is excited to announce the date and program for our first local meeting, to be held in Peoria on February 9.
All IPWB members are encouraged to attend this event, which is a joint-effort educational opportunity offered by the Home Builders Association of Illinois and the Illinois Lumber & Material Dealers Association! IPWB members are invited to take part in this conference at no cost!
Members & Guests are all welcome!

IPWB Regional Meeting - Bloomington
The very first regional meeting of the Illinois Professional Women in Building Council will be held on Tuesday, January 26 at the Bloomington-Normal Area Home Builders Association Office.
A brief installation of IPWB officers will be held at the start of the meeting. Congratulations to Melanie Spurgeon (Peoria) and Evelyn Yowell (Bloomington) who will serve IPWB in 2010 as Chairman and Vice Chairman! Join us to help thank and congratulate them for their efforts in getting IPWB on its feet!
Following installation, "Personal Safety/Common Sense Self-Defense" program will be presented by Illinois State University Police Sergeant Nicol Bleichner and Corporal Tammy Peasley. This important session will give you practcal information about how to best protect yourself, and defend yourself, while out in public.
Everyone is welcome!
IPWB Member Cost: $5 per person, includes lunch
Non-Members of IPWB pay just $10 for the session and lunch

IPWB Charter to be Approved!
Representatives of IPWB will be attending the NAHB International Builders Show in mid-January to take part in the national council meetings ... which will include the approval of our charter by NAHB!
Membership is Growing!
The Illinois Professional Women in Building Council is approaching the 40 member mark, what a great start for this group! Thanks to all who have supported its start up, and we look forward to seeing you all at meetings in 2010!

Bloomington-Normal Kick Off Meeting, November 17
Join us for an informational meeting about IPWB on November 17, 2009 at the Bloomington-Normal Area Home Builders Association office from Noon to 1:00 pm. Light lunch is included. There is no cost to attend, but please RSVP to Lisa Kohn at 309-663-6612 so we can plan for food.
